No matter your expertise, garden size, or climate you can grow plants for natural dyes. From colorants to modifiers and mordants, you can grow much of what you need at home. In this 1.5 hour workshop we’ll look at a variety of options to achieve a wide range of colors. From native to introduced species you can find the appropriate annuals or perennials that work well in containers or in the ground. Along with the plant introductions and optimal conditions, we’ll discuss the resulting dye pot color and the ease or difficulty in achieving that hue.
