5 Day Master Textile Composition Workshop

  • Porfirio Gutierrez's Studio 32 North Ventura Avenue Ventura, CA, 93001 United States (map)

Throughout human history, weaving has played an important role in everyday lives and in ceremonies. The Zapotec culture has been weaving for thousands of years and has been expressing their worldview through their textile art. In this five-day workshop students will explore how to warp, how to design and select colors, and how to transfer their designs from the page to the loom.
