Emily Endo of High Desert Observatory

High Desert Observatory is an education space based in the Joshua Tree area started by Emily and Michael Endo. Their classes and programming focus on sustainable textiles, craft, art, glass and aromatics.

The High Desert Observatory textile program is run by Emily Endo (née Nachison). Emily Endo received a MFA in Fiber from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2010 and a BFA in Fiber from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2006.

Emily has exhibited and lectured internationally at venues such as the Scottish Glass Art Society, the Museum of Contemporary Craft, the American Craft Council, Portland Art Museum and the Rochester Institute of Technology.
